Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the makers of Paintform ("Paintform," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Paintform application and related software (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. License to use Paintform

When you obtain Paintform, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on the devices you own or control, for your own personal or professional creative work, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. We (and our licensors) keep all rights, title, and interest in the App itself, including its software, design, brand, and name.

2. Your content is yours

You own all of the artwork, drawings, and other content you create with Paintform. We do not claim any ownership of it, and we don't access, collect, or upload it — your work stays on your device (see our Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups.

3. Acceptable use

To keep things fair and lawful, you agree not to:

• copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
• circumvent or tamper with license checks, in-app unlocks, or paid features; or
• use the App for anything unlawful or infringing.

4. Purchases, unlocks & refunds

Paintform is a one-time purchase, and some editions offer additional in-app unlocks. All purchases are made through, and processed by, the app store you bought from (for example, Apple's App Store). Prices are shown before you buy. Because purchases and refunds are handled by the store, refund requests are governed by that store's policies — for the App Store, you can request a refund directly through Apple. We are happy to help where we can, but we cannot process store payments or refunds on the store's behalf.

5. Updates & changes to the App

We may release updates, improvements, and new features over time, and we may occasionally change, add, or remove functionality. We aim to keep improving Paintform, but we don't promise that any specific feature will always be available. Roadmap items are goals, not guarantees.

6. App Store terms

If you downloaded Paintform from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App, and to the extent these Terms conflict with it, the more protective terms for you as a consumer will apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The same principle applies to any other app store or platform you obtain the App through, under that platform's terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or workflow. You use it at your own discretion and risk. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, artwork, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App. Always keep backups of important work.

9. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms; you may also end it at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
